Physio 4 Horseriders - Physiotherapy for horse riders

Workshop Dates, Details and Application Form

If you would like to make a group booking and these dates are not suitable please do ring to discuss your requirements as where possible we will try to accommodate your needs. Each workshop will take approximately 4 hours. Public car parking is available approximately 300 metres on the left before Bridge End Business Park. If you are attending an evening or weekend session there is ample parking available at Bridge End Business Park.

2008

The next round of our workshops will be in the Autumn of 2008

What do I need to bring with me?

It would be useful if you could bring with you the following items:

  • Pen, paper/notepad
  • Reading glasses if need be!
  • Clipboard to lean on (optional!)
  • Any snacks you might need! Drinks will be provided.
  • 4 Recent photographs of you on your horse in halt: From the front, the back and both sides

Preferably these should be taken with you wearing light coloured jods to show up against your tack, a fitted vest top, long hair tied neatly out of the way. Preferably take them against a plain background, and have your horse stood as level as possible! It is useful to put a tail bandage on your horse to help give a central line for the rear photo! If possible it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring a second copy of these for my records to keep with your rider profile which we will have made by the end of the workshop!

What should I wear?

Please come dressed in flexible clothing. Preferably cycling shorts and a tight fitting vest top/sports top. If you want to find your faults we need to see your body! If you are a particularly self conscious person who is shy about other people seeing you in this attire a workshop may not be for you! You may prefer to book an individual assessment. However, remember the workshops are tailor made for riders and in the extended time, compared to a clinic appointment you will gain so much more! If you attend a workshop it will be informal and fun but interactive! As riders are both male and female there may be a mixture! Please note there are private facilities for changing.

Refreshments

Coffee, tea and cold drinks will be provided. If you wish to bring anything else with you, there is plenty of room in the fridge!

Who can attend?

Anyone who rides horses! Whatever level you ride at whether it be hacking or showing to three day eventing, it is worth having yourself checked out for the sake of both you and your horse! The same tests / assessment will be performed on each rider to establish each rider's faults / weaknesses and corrective exercises will be taught accordingly. The three day eventer could have just the same faults as the hacker, it doesn't matter how skilled a rider you are, you are still human and not immune from the same imbalances that we are all prone to!
